Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she could write and read, she began to compose the songs she wrote herself. At the age of 8years old, she purchased her first electric guitar. She began to sing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still in high school, however she always dreamed of having a bigger stage. After graduating from high school in 1964 she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his television show that was syndicated around the same time. Parton was hired in the year 1966. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 when her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton's song, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the number. number 1 position after the duo broke up. For the first time, in 1974.
